Path and Inspiration
I have always loved porcelain, especially oriental ceramics, and wanted to explore the making process. After a 3-year course at Oxford City College I set up my own studio at home in 2015. Since then I have been developing my portfolio of work and learning every day. I regularly exhibit at fairs and in galleries.Process and Practice
I throw my bowls, vases and moon jars on the wheel. I make with porcelain, for its combination of delicacy and strength, and the pure surface it offers for a glaze. My pieces are thrown to a thin and delicate finish, and glazed in a variety of plain surfaces to complement the restrained forms. My colour palette is cool – blues, greys, pale greens and creams – calming and harmonious.
