Path and Inspiration
Rosa is an Italian potter based in London. She started experimenting with clay 20 years ago and it was during her undergraduate at Camberwell College of Art that she developed her passion for Porcelain. Rosa makes wheel thrown tableware decorated with colourfull glazes. She enjoys stepping out of her comfort zone by experimenting with oxides on unglazed vitrified porcelain on one-off decorative pieces.Process and Practice
My favourite part of the process is the making.
I find extreme satisfaction in sitting on my wheel being able to create pots of different size and forms.
Throwing on the potters-wheel for hours on end and lifting my head at the end of the working day to see various wooden boards filled with freshly thrown pots,their wet porcelain body glistening against the walls covered with dry clay splashed by my fellow potters, it’s what gives me a huge sense of accomplishments and pride.
