Path and Inspiration
I first started doing pottery in New York and did it for a year. I then went back to Japan and studied ceramics for a year. I then moved to London and started making ceramics at my current studio for a year, so I have been making ceramics for a total of three years.
I love the Mishimade technique I learnt in Japan.Process and Practice
What I am interested in now is creating pieces using the Mishimade Technique. I enjoy the process of scraping off the slip before bisque firing which is like excavating something out of the earth.
But I have not been a potter for very long, so I would like to try other techniques besides the Mishimade Technique in the future if I get the chance.
