Path and Inspiration
My journey in ceramics is guided by a deep connection to function, form and nature. From the moment I first touched clay, I was drawn to its ability to transform—shaped by my hands, fire and time. I explore both functional and decorative pieces, always seeking harmony between utility and artistry. Earth tones ground my work. My inspiration comes from nature’s quiet beauty and the challenge of making objects that serve a purpose while being visually engaging.Process and Practice
I explore the dynamic relationship between form and surface through process. Working primarily on the wheel, at home within the work rhythms that shape clay, often creating sectional pieces that are later altered, attached, and transformed. Allowing me the space to explore within traditional ware that is both organic and intentional. I decorate my work using slips, oxides, and carving, exploring texture and depth with each piece. Experimenting with glazes is a vital part of my practice.
