Path and Inspiration

I am an architect and ceramic artist from Slovenia. I live in small village in a woodland valley. I like to roam the wilderness. I observe processes and try to understand them. The shapes and textures I'm trying to create are inspired by materials, forces and movements from the natural world.

Process and Practice

I\\\'m trying to understand Genius loci (spirit of location) and its potential. It is a journey of getting inspired by a place, its heritage, natural world, geology... and then discovering the way to transcend it into immortal pieces of wood-fired ceramics.I mix clay bodies and glazes with local foraged materials. Since 2017 I have been firing my own kiln. In 2023 I designed and built a large new wood kiln.
