As announced at the AGM we are bowled over with excitement that Rich Miller has agreed to join us as Hon. President taking over from Stephen Dee. Rich’s first role as our president is to judge the work to be awarded prizes in various categories for the London Potters Annual Members Open Exhibition (Brixton 3rd to 6th November 2022). We also have the public vote for anyone visiting to vote for their favourite piece of ceramic at the exhibition.
You will all know Rich as the handsome technician on the early Throw Down seasons and now the kindly judge and ceramic sage of the recent and the current series being filmed as I type; But for the last 12 years Rich has run a handmade tile company and has worked on architectural projects with Kate Malone MBE. He also produces his own fine work drawing on themes of British colonialism and inspiration from an eclectic mix of cultural styles and influences associated with the colonies.
