Omer Oner

Öner is inspired by found objects and fascinated by inserting his practice into a historic tradition of using clay as an imitative and reproduction material.
His practice is to make teapots and candlesticks assembled in combination from moulded parts. These are derived from waste objects or leftovers: door handles, wooden glass and scrap metal furniture fragments. Öner sees them not as trash, but as sources of opportunity by repurposing and regenerating them into new functional ceramic vesses.
