Collaboration between LP & SSILB member from July to September

Following the talk on the 13^th May, we are delighted to announce the collaboration event with SSILB.

Fifteen London Potters members will have an opportunity to pair up with a SSILB member to explore and make a container for an arrangement during August/September and then exhibit their arrangement on the 23rd September 2023.

August/September: Discuss & agree arrangement & container

Each LP member will be paired up with a SSILB member following ticket booking by the Sogetsu School of Ikebana London Branch team.

You are then asked to connect directly to arrange discussions/meetings to prepare for your project. For example, in the pair, SSILB member may have an idea of an arrangement and wish for a container to be made specially or use existing work by London Potters member. It is up to the pair to agree timing of the readiness of the container and how the container will be transported to the SSILB member if the container is needed before the exhibition day of the 23rd September. London Potters will not be involved in the discussions between the paired up members.

Cost of the florals for arrangement will be borne by the SSILB member. Cost of making the container will be borne by the LP member.

The schedule for the 23^rd September is as follows:

09:00am – 12:00am Make arrangement & Refreshments

12:00pm – 05:00pm Public exhibition

04:00pm – 05:00pm Pack down

If you missed the talk in May, you have an opportunity to get a combined ticket and receive a link to the replay. The video replay will be available until 23rd September 2023.

Refreshments will be available on the day however lunch will not be provided.
