Inspired by the Korean Moon Jar, and the Moon herself, I explore the possibilities of combining glaze and smoke. By smoke firing Moon Jars already glaze fired and by raku firing–I create wonderful contrasts between the colourful, shiny glazes and the matt smoke effects. I handbuild using white earthenware clay.
