Francesca Silverton

I am a London Potter, making ceramic sculptures in porcelain and stoneware using rolled slabs and forms cast in London clay, making use of modern 3D printing with traditional plaster mould making techniques. I am inspired by geometric lines and curves from my previous work as a maths teacher, and the materials we find in the ground. The textured surfaces of my current work are made from brick, bone china and porcelain shards, with bright colours contrasting with my monochrome work.
