I work as a functional potter but also as a ceramic artist making sculptural work. I work in collections. I am inspired by the world around us, my walks on Wimbledon Common, in Cornwall and the North Norfolk coast. I throw most of my ceramic work and my latest collection of ‘cutouts’ which I will be exhibiting with London Potters (fingers crossed)are the discarded parts of my thrown mugs that don’t work and the pieces cut out from my tree stumps. I explore glazes to get the effects that I want.
