Jeanne’s work is both functional and decorative, thrown and turned using semi porcelain clay. She seeks copper red in oxidation, each pot is glazed by hand-painting a variety of red and blue glazes onto each bisc fired piece, her designs are concealed in a transparent glaze and fired to 1240c.The glazes flourish in the firing, culminating in an inflorescence of mystical blooms, perennial on every piece, suggesting something that could possibly exist in nature somewhere…
