Jesse Finlay is a print maker and ceramic artist, creating work with a strong connection to memory, nostalgia and storytelling.
‘ Through my work I am trying to capture a memory, to tell a story, to communicate a feeling, and in doing so hopefully make something beautiful.’
Jesse’s work includes decorative ceramic pieces, functional wares and 2D ceramic and paper prints. Surface is an important aspect in her work, this is explored in her ceramics with the layered imagery and washes of colour.
