My pots are hand built and highly decorated with underglaze painting and sgraffiti. They are occasionally useful, often on the larger side and each is unique. I like to make a few versions of the same rough idea – for example making tall white earthenware vessels in the ‘Iranian’ style, using a blue base to reveal the white scribed lines of a garden drawing. I’ve made four, but probably no more quite like them. I love to create the story in the round.
