London Potters launches new logo

New Look LP

London Potters new logo

A new graphic style

Shapes are evocative of a freshly
wedged lump of clay

The new logo and visual identity were developed with designer John Spencer from Offthetopofmyhead. We asked John to come up with a design that reflects the movement and fun of working with clay. He took the idea that ‘it all starts with a lump of clay’ to create an impactful logo which evokes a freshly-wedged ball of terracotta. We also agreed a new palette of London Potters colours, which reference raw stoneware, Wedgewood blue, and historic green tin glazes.

The process of creating the website was started two years ago by our digital transformation team: Fay De Winter, Lindy Barletta, Stephen Dee and Sarah Hill. Their vision was to make everything we do at London Potters – from membership renewal to event applications – easily accessible through the website. This should make life easier for our members, and for the London Potters council members, who will no longer need to process everything manually. Since the transformation team developed the original specification, Fiona Pearce-Burrows and Nicky Souter have been working closely with Luke Burford of Lunamedia to implement the design and build.

Please take some time to explore the new site at www.londonpotters.com. As we will be phasing out the old systems in 2022, there are some things you need to do to continue to get the most from your membership. Please:

If you are already a member of London Potters, we will have emailed you with a special link to log in to your individual account on the website. You will need to use a debit or credit card to order your membership for next year, but no payment will be taken until your normal renewal date of 1 May. If you have any concerns about the email you receive, you can email contact@londonpotters.com and we will respond.

All new members will receive rolling annual membership with an immediate start.

Create your gallery and profile – look out for Email Invite

We invite members to create a gallery of work and a profile page on the website, with up to 6 photos. The gallery is a great place for other members, collectors, galleries and even journalists to see your work. The Profile will tell people more about yourself, your inspiration, ceramic journey and process. Please do take advantage of this and upload profile and gallery when you are invited to do so.  Help will be available. If you have any problems at all, please email our Website Coordinator or use the form on our Contact Page.

Check out the events and exhibitions pages

In future you will need to book events and apply for exhibitions through this website. We will still email to let you know when new events and exhibitions are open.

Finally – as with any new website, we have done our best to ensure that everything is working properly before the launch, but it’s possible that one or two bugs may have evaded detection. If so, thank you for bearing with us while we get them fixed!
