Path and Inspiration
Re-discovered clay in 2018 through a local handbuilding class. Applied and won a grant to visit Ceramic Art London, a long-time dream. Heard a lecture from Jon Wilson from Darwen Terracotta and discovering that i could create tiles changed my entire artistic career.
To me, inspiration can be found anywhere. It just has to find you looking.
Process and Practice
I work on commission, usually through interior designers.
I primarily hand paint my glazes to achieve a sense of movement, and to create visual texture via the layering of glazes, and I work mostly in solid blocks of color.
