Path and Inspiration
When I lost my energy and sense of taste/ smell in early 2021 for two years, I rediscovered my creative spirit and reconnected with my love of creating with my hands. It was then I touched clay for the first time. I immediately fell in love, finding the process of creating by hand both healing and meditative. My inspiration comes from many places, including my South-East Asian heritage, personal experiences, surroundings, love of food, health and nature.Process and Practice
I aim to create multisensory artworks that encourage people to take a moment to feel and connect with them, through their eyes, body and mind.I’m not prescriptive about how to use my artworks, and love hearing stories about how people incorporate them into their lifestyles and rituals.I also offer my audience an invitation to explore my artworks’ origins through exposing their natural textures, colours and remnants from the making process.
