Path and Inspiration
Though my background is in engineering, my path took a significant turn when I discovered ceramics through the potters in Oaxaca. Since then, I have dedicated myself to studying everything related to this craft, which has become my passion. I am inspired by all my teachers and the ceramists of my country. It is incredibly valuable how, despite limited raw materials, ceramic suppliers, and specialized schools, a vast and seemingly endless base of knowledge has been created. I am on a journey to cProcess and Practice
I love learning and I'm passionate about crafts. My work involves blending various styles and disciplines to achieve outcomes that can range from beautifully simple to creative or even just fun. I work on a pottery wheel and do minimal handwork, but since discovering paper clay, my interest in hands-on crafting has grown. I enjoy working with porcelain due to the simple and beautiful results it offers. I make my own stoneware clay and glazes.
